A packed programme of events and activities has been organised to celebrate International Hanse Day and the 11th anniversary of King’s Lynn’s membership of the new Hanse.
King’s Lynn’s rich and colourful Hanseatic heritage will come to life as the streets are filled with medieval characters, fire breathers and knights on horses.
King’s Staithe Square will be the hub for music throughout the weekend, with the Hanse House hosting activities for the whole family to enjoy from medieval dancing to the ancient art of archery, craft demonstrations and a medieval market. Fun activities for children will take place at King’s Lynn Town Hall and for those who fancy a stroll around historic Lynn, the guided walking tours are also a must.
And don’t forget to join the parade on Saturday 21 May as it winds its way from the Saturday Market Place, along the High Street to Baxter’s Plain in the Vancouver Quarter, encouraging people down to the waterfront and Saturday Market Place and the town’s historic heart.
